I made this simple birthday cake

1st taste of Chocolate :P
We held a very simple but fun party for Esther. We invited close friends and family for a BBQ lunch. The party went well and everyone had a wonderful time. The highlight was hubby was able to come home for this special occasion. We thank God everyday for giving us this beautiful girl one year ago.

Wow, you made the cake?? That's impressive. Well done. It is so nice to have a mummy-made cake for kid's birthdays, I'm trying to gear up for my boy's first. Not sure if I have the confidence.
Anyway, happy (very belated) birthday to Esther. She's growing fast.
Thanks Ee Laine! Esther's cake was a very easy cake (package butter cake mix, pink icing, chocolate fingers, pink smarties). I was planning to make a star-shaped cake(Esther=Star) but I was not confident enough to make it. I'm sure you can make a nice cake for Ming. Also we're being posted to Adelaide!! Edinburgh (The Air Force base) to be exact. How far it is from where you are? It's so exciting.
